A Canadian woman has been officially sentenced to twenty-one years in prison for sending a poison-laced letter to former President Donald Trump.
She also attempted to poison eight other Texas law enforcement officials. Pascale Cecil Veronique Ferrier was identified as the woman who committed this crime.
She is reportedly a dual citizen of Canada and France. Ferrier plead guilty on Thursday, August 18th, according to multiple sources.
The poison used in the letter was Ricin, which comes from the plant Ricinus. When Ricin enters a person’s blood stream and into the cells, it prevents the body from creating the proteins needed for survival.
This can cause severe vomiting, diarrhea, and other symptoms, which will eventually lead to death. As a matter of fact, in 1978, a Bulgarian Dissident Writer, Georgi Markov, was assassinated by a lethal injection of Ricin.
