What Biden Has Done

On May 25th, 2020, George Floyd was killed by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Floyd was a forty-six-year-old man who was previously convicted and found guilty of trespassing, drug possession, assault, theft, counterfeit, and many other crimes. He also held a gun to a pregnant woman’s chest. Despite all of this, many people consider him a hero. Current President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, is one of these people. In fact, he went to George Floyd’s funeral and took a knee as a form of “respect” towards the Black Lives Matter movement (which was the same movement that destroyed buildings, stores, and livelihoods).

On August 30th, 2021, Joe Biden decided to announce to the world that he was withdrawing the United States’ military from Afghanistan. The Taliban heard about this, attacked, and killed over a dozen American soldiers while taking back control of Afghanistan. President Biden attended the funeral of these brave soldiers. However, instead of showing respect, Biden decided to look at his watch during the ceremony.

On August 8th, 2023, a wildfire broke out on the Hawaiian island of Maui. With hundreds of dead, thousands missing, and many jobs and livelihoods lost, President Biden thought it would be a great idea to give each Maui resident a one-time $700 payment to compensate for all the damages to their homes. Approximately two weeks later, the funeral was held for the victims that had perished from the fires.
