The Governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin, has announced that he will not be running for President in 2024. This announcement comes as a shock to many, considering that he was one of the favorites in the Republican party.
Although he is one of the most prominent Conservatives, his opponents, which are former President Donald Trump, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, have amassed to much support for what seems like anyone to try and join in.
Youngkin announced this during a “Governing America” event. He also said that he will be focusing on the state of Virginia, with the state’s Legislative elections coming up this year.
The Virginia State-Senate is currently controlled by Democrats, and Youngkin is looking to change that.
