Vice Media Files For Bankruptcy

Far left news source, Vice Media, has officially filed for bankruptcy. Vice media was the parent company of many popular news media organizations, such as Vice News and Vice TV. Those companies will all still continue to operate despite them filing bankruptcy.
Vice launched in Montréal, Canada, in 1994. However, they relocated their headquarters to New York shortly after. Vice Media actually used to be worth 5.7 billion dollars.
Vice was known for making very controversial news stories. They would interview people from all over the world to get a good story.
They reportedly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Vice Media has stated that they will also let go of many of their employees working for them at the moment.
This comes soon after another popular news network, BuzzFeed closed their doors as well.
