Former President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has stated that if he were to get re-elected again for president, he would end birthright citizenship for children whose parents are illegal immigrants.
This means that if their parents are illegal immigrants, they would also be considered illegal, even if they were born in the United States.
This has been a bit controversial though since it is in the Constitution, that anyone physically born in the United States, is considered a citizen.
With the border security worsening every day, this is very understandable as to why former President Trump would propose this act. This statement could go very well for Trump in ensuring he gets the nomination for the Republican Party.
Donald Trump’s biggest competition for the Republican nomination is definitely Governor Ron Desantis of Florida. If Trump is going to beat out Desantis in the primary, he is going to need to get the full support of the Republican party.
The same goes for Desantis if he wants to beat Trump. Desantis has not yet commented on this statement by Donald Trump.
