Texas Senate Votes To Acquit Ken Paxton Of Charges

The Texas Senate voted to acquit Attorney General, Ken Paxton, of all charges against him. The man was on trial for corruption and abuse of public office.
The team responsible for prosecuting the case against the attorney general claimed that Paxton did favors for Austin real estate developer and campaign backer Nate Paul as Paul was being investigated by the FBI.
Paxton was impeached on 16 different charges, and not a single one of them stuck. Ken Paxton released a statement on X thanking his legal team, saying “I’m so proud of my legal team. Thank you, @realmitchlittle @TonyBuzbee2 @DanCogdell Anthony Osso, Judd Stone, Chris Hilton, Amy Hilton, Allison Collins and all who assisted. You are simply the BEST!”
He also gave thanks to many well-known Conservatives that supported him throughout the trial.
