A large group of pro-Hamas protestors in Washington D.C. broke into the capitol building on Wednesday afternoon.
Many people on X were comparing this to the riot that took place on January 6th, 2021. It seems as though the people that broke into the capitol on Wednesday, should be charged the same way as the people who broke into the Capitol on January 6th.
Some of the January 6th political prisoners sat in prison and solitary confinement for years before even going to trial.
Representative Majorie Taylor Greene has made a formal request that all footage from the riot today be saved so that it can be removed, and people can be charged as necessary.
In America’s two-tiered justice system, it is highly unlikely that these protestors will be charged to the same extent as the January 6th protestors, but one could only hope that we once again have a fair and just legal system.
