New York Set To Ban Gas Stoves By 2026

New York has announced that they are banning the usage of gas stoves. Every new building, house, or apartment that will be constructed will now officially be without gasoline powered stoves.
Starting in 2026, only electrical stoves will be permitted. Although, New York Governor, Kathy Hochul, stated that if you currently have a gasoline powered stove, you will be able to keep it.
Hochul, had approved of this motion on Tuesday, May 2nd. She also stated that this new law will also get rid of furnaces.
This all seems like the steps in the direction towards converting to a fully electric society. As only electrical cars will be allowed soon, we can only expect even more common necessities to become electric only.
We can also most likely expect other states to soon follow New York’s lead. According to Fox News, Hochul will also order the construction of buildings that are larger than seven stories, to be banned in 2029.
