As of right now, the Republican Representative from Ohio’s 4th district, Jim Jordon, is the front runner in the current race for Speaker of the House.
This comes just a little over a week after Speaker Kevin McCarthy was voted out of his position by the house.
Many Representatives have come out publicly in support of Jordon including Dan Bishop, Rich McCormick and Mike Johnson.
Many Republicans were angry at former Speaker McCarthy because he made a lot of promises in order to get to his position, but barely followed through on any of them.
