Hurricane Idalia Predicted To Make Landfall As Category 3 Hurricane

Hurricane Idalia, the storm headed for Florida’s bay area is expected to make landfall as a category 3 hurricane. At this time, the storm is only a category 2, but the winds are speeding up quickly.

Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, has announced a state of emergency due to the storm and has already started evacuating some areas that are going to be hit hardest by the hurricane.

The eyewall of the hurricane is predicted to hit the state of Florida tomorrow morning, and Governor DeSantis urges everyone that has not yet evacuated to do so now because the costal and low-lying areas will begin to flood as the storm ramps up.

The NHC (National Hurricane Center) has predicted that the storm surge from Hurricane Idalia could possibly reach 10 to 15 feet.
