House Passes Debt Ceiling Bill

The House of Representatives has officially passed Speaker McCarthy’s debt ceiling bill. The bill barely passed with a final tally of 217 – 215. Every single Democrat voted against, and 4 Republicans also voted against the bill.

In the past, Biden has refused to negotiate for anything other than an increase in the debt ceiling.

“We have lifted the debt ceiling, so nobody could worry about whether the debt ceiling is going to get lifted, we did it. The Democrats have not. The president wants to make sure the debt ceiling is going to be lifted? Sign this bill,” McCarthy said in a press conference after the vote.

The bill is now going to the Democrat led Senate, which strongly opposes it.

Our nation is in a clear decline economically, and if we don’t start working on this debt issue, then this could lead to the downfall of America.
