Donald Trump Set To Appeal Ruling In Case That Found Him Liable For Sexual Abuse And Defamation

In a statement to Fox News, former President Donald Trump said that he will be appealing the court ruling that found him guilty of sexual assault and defamation. The case found him not guilty for the rape charges from Jean Carroll.

“This verdict is a disgrace,” Trump said. “It is a continuation of the greatest political witch hunt in history.”

Carroll said that Trump pushed her into a dressing room at a store and assaulted her, but the Trump team said this was false and that he never met the woman. They also said the woman just wanted to sell copies of her book, and this was a political stunt to do that.

“In jurisdictions wholly controlled by the Democratic Party our nation’s justice system is now compromised by extremist left-wing politics. We have allowed false and totally made-up claims from troubled individuals to interfere with our elections, doing great damage,” the Trump campaign said in a statement.

“Make no mistake, this entire bogus case is a political endeavor targeting President Trump because he is now an overwhelming front-runner to be once again elected President of the United States.”
