Chik-Fil-A’s First Official Restaurant Closing After 50 Years Of Business

Chik-Fil-A’s first official restaurant location will be closing it’s doors this weekend after over 50 years of serving it’s customers. “It has been Our Pleasure to serve you,” a sign outside the restaurant read.

The restaurant is located in the Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta, Georgia. No reason was given for the closure, however many suspect that it had to do with a decrease in customers and an increase in rent since the pandemic.

When the location first opened, the menu only consisted of lemonade, lemon pie, coleslaw, salads with boneless chicken breast, and the original fried chicken sandwich.

Since opening the in-mall Chick-fil-A location, the iconic fast-food chain now has over 2,600 locations. This Chik-Fil-A location was owned by Truett Cathy, the founder of the fast-food chain.
